DEE-1'S MIXTAPE SEPARATED BY BIRTH WAS SCHEDULED TO BE RELEASED SEPTEMBER 15, 2015 BUT IT WAS CANCELLED.
The reason that it was cancelled was because in the mixtape Dee-1 is rapping to Lil Wayne's most known songs using the same beats, but instead he changes the lyrics to a positive matter.
Dee 1 has frequently times confessed that growing up he looked up to Lil Wayne and everything he will do, knowing that they both come from New Orleans. As he became a Christian and changed now he claims that Lil Wayne's music has a negative impact in the culture we have today.
In Sway in the morning he recalls when they told him not to release the mixtape and it was going to be how the banned.
To summarize it, the day of the release he got a call from his label RCA Inspiration suggesting him not to release the mixtape. The reason being was because Cash Money Records had find out and now RCA had to deal with legal issues, also that it was best for him not to because they could be some physical harm. There was few songs that were able to put out from the mixtape "Separated by Birth."
